Joel Phillips

Joel Phillips is a partner at Sanctuary Wealth Management and serves as the Vice President of Operations. He is directly responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the firm, which includes trading, workflows, reporting and billing.

Joel works directly with a large number of the firm’s clients and their families, helping them in their day-to-day financial planning, portfolio management and wealth management needs. Many of his clients are in the midst of prosperous careers, having built successful businesses, and spend a majority of their time focused on expanding their operations. Joel’s job is to help them manage the trade-offs between reinvesting money back into their business and reinvesting their money back into themselves.

Joel was raised in Idaho, spending part of his youth in Boise and part in Pocatello. After graduating from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an MBA, Joel joined Sanctuary Wealth Management in 2008.

Outside of work, Joel and his wife chase their kids full time. During the summer, Joel can be found competing in his race car on the weekends, while during the winter, he enjoys piloting a replica Boeing 737 flight simulator he hand-built in his basement.
